User test bed for GALILEO/GPS application developments

The new GALILEO signals on three carrier frequencies - combined with the GPS-IIF signals - will enable a new class of applications, which today are either impossible or can only be realised together with very expensive and complex systems.


		Development of highly available and low-cost LBS/mass market applications for automotive and personal navigation, etc.

		Development and testing of new, high-precision 2 and 3 frequency applications (surveying, agriculture, ...)

		Development of applications under 'low signal power' conditions with the new 'pilot signals' without data modulation

GATE provides a selection of possibilities for these application developments (in connection with GALILEO IOV and GPS):


		Mixed-mode operation GPS/GATE/GALILEO IOV

		Potential application developers can be provided with user-receivers

		Realistic simulation of the GALILEO system with GATE ('Virtual Satellite Mode').

Simple planning of the experiments online or on-site, with 'pre-simulation' and advisory service on the optimum implementation of the experiment, are offered to application developers in order to minimise planning requirements and to maximise the benefits of the experiments.
